Snow in late May

This post is a little late but still worth including to show the weather that can be found at Strawacres.

On May 24th I woke feeling it was cooler in the house that previously in the week.  Still the insulation from the straw bales was good enough to make it comfortable to walk around the house in what I slept in.  It was with great surprise that I looked out of the window to see snow.

Seeing fresh green leaves covered in snow was unusual.

Further down the valley in Ottawa (about 2 hours drive away) there was no snow but a little hail.

A week later the temperature was heading towards 30°C.
